Historic Glen Rose has things to do for the whole family. Taking a walk through downtown will give you access to dozens of classic shops and restaurants, as well as the iconic dinosaur statues and historic sites that dot the map.

Dinosaur Valley State Park

Walk where dinosaurs walked at Dinosaur Valley State Park. This scenic location near the river is a great place to hike, bike, swim, fish, and watch for wildlife. Watch your step! You may even find preserved dinosaur footprints while you're out.

Big Rocks Park

An excellent way to spend a hot afternoon is at Big Rocks Park. The area is full of unusually large rocks that kids love to climb on, and the nearby bend of the Paluxy River is shallow enough for the whole family to cool off in.
